Boston has something for everyone: Fenway Park, Fanuiel Hall, Quincy Market, The Science Museum, The Comedy Club, The Aquarium, carriage rides, schooner tours, skyscrapers, parks, Starbucks, quiet cafes, CHEERS, a working waterfront, Coast Guard offices, college campuses, street mimes and entertainers, and every kind of great food you can imagine! You can duke it out over a bargain at Filene's Basement, or be strongly encouraged to keep and purchase your selections at the markets. The spires are breathtaking. The architecture is historical and awe-inspiring. Subways and ells are an education in themselves and Boston can be enjoyed as a single, a couple, or a family!

New England is a year-round travel destination like no other. In the winter, the skiing is world-class, rivaling Colorado and the Alps, and the cities are bustling with activities in the arts and entertainment. In spring, the flowers bloom and the forests and the farms come alive on a landscape dotted with flea markets as the antique shops hang out their "Open" signs. Summer means the beach! Hundreds of miles of major and secluded white sand beaches along the Atlantic coast. And inland, the music festivals and state parks will compete for your attention. And the fall foliage is the most spectacular on the planet. Visitors from all over the world travel to New England to view and photograph the turning of the leaves, stopping off to enjoy the many harvest-time festivities along the way.

Connecticut River Byway

Connecticut River BywayWelcome to New England's River and its National Scenic Byway. The Connecticut River is the natural bridge that unites New Hampshire and Vermont for over half of the waterway's 410-mile journey from the Canadian border to the Atlantic Ocean. The history of New England's longest and most powerful river reaches back into time. It is the story of clashing continental plates and glaciers, the story of Abenaki living lightly on the land, and the story of colonial settlement in villages among fields and forests whose architectural distinction still dominates the valley today. The Connecticut River Byway is a scenic corridor of highways, communities, byways, and waterways along the Connecticut River in Vermont and New Hampshire. More about the Connecticut River Byway
